What Is The Hope Effect Internship?

The Hope Effect Internships are designed to help young adults discover who they are and what they're capable of Through hands-on work that changes the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children around the world.

U.S. OPPORTUNITIES
3-6 MONTHS

This unique internship is an opportunity to work directly with The Hope Effect’s U.S.-based team. Interns will gain hands-on experience in areas such as Communications/Marketing, Fundraising, or Leadership, contributing to meaningful projects that change the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children.

MEXICO OPPORTUNITIES
2-12 MONTHS

This unique internship is a partnership between The Hope Effect and NOE International in Morelia, Michoacan. Interns will contribute to The Hope Effect’s mission of getting vulnerable children out of orphanages and into loving families and serve the children of the city through NOE’s English program.

 FAQs

  • U.S. interns are remote. Your office is wherever you work best. Mexico interns are hosted by a vetted local family in Morelia, Michoacán, arranged through NOE International.

  • All internships are full-time, 40 hours per week.

  • U.S. internships are unpaid volunteer positions. Approved expenses for U.S. interns (travel, mileage, supplies) are reimbursable.

    Mexico interns are self-funded with estimated housing costs of $250-400/month.

  • You'll need your own computer and internet access. We'll provide an email address and access to organizational tools.

  • U.S. internships are fully remote. Every U.S. intern also has the opportunity to visit one of our Mexico locations to see the work firsthand, at no cost to them.

  • Yes, if your university offers that option. The research and coordination with your university is up to you, but our team will do everything we can to help meet the requirements to make it happen.
